Wychbold RBL FC (0) 2
Thorn FC (0) 1
WYCHBOLD RBL struggled to beat lowly Thorn, who belittled their low position in the table with some good steady football.
Thorn proved hard to breakdown in the first half with RBL struggling to push forward.
Both teams had few chances to score as the play was confined to midfield.
A goal just after half time by RBL's Jason Harrison gave the home team the incentive to push forward, and this they showed by having more of the play.
In the 61st minute, RBL increased their lead with a well taken curling free-kick by man of the match Neil Ingram.
Thorn, however, never gave up fighting and pushed forward and were rightly rewarded when a trip in the penalty box on a Thorn forward was scored by Dave Willetts.
Thorn, now looking good, could not get the equaliser they deserved and RBL were lucky to get the three points in a lacklustre performance.
Protex (0) 2 Wychbold RBL Res (1) 2. A good performance by RBL Reserves saw them come away with a point from mid-table Protex.
Second-from-bottom RBL Reserves played remarkably well with goals from Dean Maycroft and Scott Weatherby in a game played on a poor pitch in Redditch.
