Garringtons Sunday (2) 3

South Redditch (0) 3

GARRINGTONS, although struggling to field a side, started in great style, playing some good football.

They took advantage of their superiority after 21 mimutes when Luke Change won the ball and hit a tremendous 30-yard shot that hit the post. Richard Blankley followed up to give Garringtons the lead.

Garringtons went further ahead when the South Redditch goalkeeper could only parry Dean Tilley's shot, and Blankley followed up again to give him a brace in his first full game.

Garringtons made it 3-0 in the 50th minute when Jason Harris and Tilley combined down the left and Richard Pincher headed home Tilley's cross.

South Redditch pulled a goal back after a skirmish in the central circle. With Garringtons appealing, South Redditch took advantage and scored within minutes. They made it 3-2 when they broke down the left and scored a good goal.

Garringtons were now playing poorly and South Redditch were looking the top of the table team, not the bottom.

Again, it was a cross from the left, and player-manager Willy Leggart headed the equaliser. The game then became very scrappy and was littered with fouls as both sides hung on for a draw.
