THE Spa's MP attended more than half of all votes held in Parliament in recent months.
Peter Luff, who is a Conservative Party whip, took part in 66 per cent of the 155 votes at the House of Commons.
The Mid-Worcestershire representative ranked 291 out of 659 MPs.
The participation rates are based on votes of proposed new laws between December 2000 and March 2001.
Mr Luff said: "I am reasonably satisfied with my position although my attendance record is better than suggested.
"I attend a majority of votes but as a member of the Opposition I have to abstain. I also miss some votes on Fridays because I have to return from London to my constituency."
Mr Luff, who has been an MP for nine years, has a small flat in London, but lives in Worcester with his family.
