RESIDENTS who want Droitwich Spa to be a safer place are being urged to support plans to draw up an audit of crime and disorder in the town.
Wychavon District Council's new community safety officer, Alan Paul, wants to hear from Spa groups, agencies or individuals aiming to make the area an enviable place to live and work.
Alan, who was appointed this year, told the Advertiser: "The law requires a crime audit and public consultation every three years to determine levels of crime and the community's response to it."
As part of the audit, Alan will draw up a register of groups and people whose activities help reduce crime.
Examples include helping the homeless, improving home security, reducing car crime, addressing drugs abuse and working with youths to prevent unsociable behaviour.
