ALCESTER and Ragley Park managed to play some cricket at the weekend before the heavens opened.
The Cotswold League Division One side were 68 for 2 in a friendly against Kenilworth Wardens when rain stopped play.
But the club has still had no decision about whether they will be able to use their traditional Ragley Park base or be able to compete in the league this season because of the foot and mouth crisis.
The club are set to continue their pre-season preparations with a trip to Elmley Castle on Saturday and near neighbours Astwood Bank on Sunday (2pm start).
