A BROMSGROVE firm is contributing to an innovative new mode of transport for trendy cyclists.
Bayer's ABS plastic Lustran is being used to create mudguards and casing for the new Skoot cycle.
The bike folds into a travel case and can be carried or pulled along on wheels.
It can be stored in a car boot or office, and it even features a brief case.
Skoot designer Vincent Fallon said: "Bayer's extrusion grade met the demanding standards set for the top of the range product. Lustran was ideal for Skoot because it is very strong, durable, UV resistant and allows an attractive finish.
"As a result, Skoot is lightweight yet a rugged construction for everyday use."
Bayer has a plant in Westonhall Road, Stoke Works.
