SIX pupils from Walkwood Middle School, along with PE teacher Michelle Kimberley, competed in the British Schools Biathlon finals at Rugby.
In appalling weather conditions pupils had to complete an 800m run and 50m swim.
Michelle Kimberley entered the teachers' section.
In the year 6 girls race, Elizabeth Hawker came 30th.
Year 7 girls had two competitors, Jennifer Fleeman and Hannah Winch, who came 24th and 37th respectively.
For year 7 boys, Alister Killingsworth finished in 34th place and Year 8 boys James Walker and Tom Richardson came 18th and 32nd respectively.
Teacher Michelle Kimberley came home first after an exciting swim, won on the touch, and an excellent run.
