HEADLESS Cross Formula Ford driver Stefan Hodgetts was testing at Donington yesterday (Tuesday) in readiness for his return to action at the weekend.
Hodgetts, lead driver for Heathrow-based Sweeney Hopper Racing, wants to give his Zetec Championship challenge a belated kick-start after crashing out of the opening round and finishing 11th in a rain-hit event at Snetterton.
He was sixth fastest in testing yesterday in wet conditions with round three at Donington on Sunday.
After his disappointing start to the season, Hodgetts has been practising at Thruxton and Castle Combe in the past week and hopes to sign a deal committing him to Formula 3 next season.
