IN reply to Andrew Watson's glorification of Gordon Brown's success as Chancellor, I would say this wise Chancellor has sold our gold and bought euros, thus making our cup half empty and not half full.
Are we also to acknowledge, due to Government spending cuts, the most depleted Navy in history?
No wonder they want an early election. We now know that Brown's planned election-winning Budget will firmly put the UK in the highest debt per GPD in our history. Gordon Brown is akin to our leader who, like Nero, is watching while the UK burns.
