A LEADING Labour councillor has welcomed moves to demolish an ''eyesore'' at the entrance to Rubery and build 36 luxury flats there but he is worried about nosy neighbours.
Bromsgrove district councillor Peter McDonald (Uffdown and Waseley) has been campaigning to get something done about former Plough pub, in Gannow Walk.
It has stood empty for some time and Cllr McDonald said the run-down building was the first thing visitors to the village saw.
Cllr McDonald said: "While I welcome these improvements, I fear some of the properties could overlook existing houses.
"I urge the council to consider this when deciding on the application."
