A MAIN road in Bromsgrove is to get a £500,000 facelift to make it smoother and safer for motorists.
Work will begin on improving the A448 to Redditch at the Caspidge Bridge over Pike's Pool Lane on Monday April 30.
The road surface, damaged concrete and abutments are all to be renovated with the aim of making the road fit for years to come.
Contractors will work for 18 weeks, and contraflows will be in place for some of the time.
Worcestershire County Council's bridge manager, Martin Downes, said: "People will be only too aware that these repairs are necessary. We hope the work can be undertaken with the minimum of disruption."
