HOSPITALS serving Bromsgrove and Droitwich Spa have been given a clean bill of health by a Government inspection.
Both the Alexandra Hospital, in Redditch, and Worcester Royal Infirmary's Castle Street site were rated as acceptable in terms of cleanliness after unannounced independent inspections.
Last year's survey of hospitals said both sites were too dirty.
Bromsgrove's Princess of Wales Community Hospital, in Stourbridge Road, maintained its acceptable hygiene rating.
Good standards of hygiene were found in both surveys at the Ronkswood and Newtown sites of Worcester Royal Infirmary.
The inspection report was compiled from visits to 689 institutions -- just six per cent were found to be unacceptable.
Inspections last year found a third of hospitals were not maintaining satisfactory hygiene standards.
A spokeswoman for Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust said: "We are pleased with the results of the latest inspections of the five hospital sites within the trust.
"We will continue to maintain and improve these standards in the future."
