DRINKERS will be toasting their European neighbours in large measures when a beer festival is launched at a Worcester pub.
Cask-conditioned beers from the Czech Republic, Germany and southern Ireland will be on tap at the Postal Order in Foregate Street from tomorrow as landlord Karl Chestnutt launches the four-day event.
Diebels Alt Premium Dark, Fruh Kolsch, Kozel Dark and Herold Bohemian Black Lager and Dublin Beer will be filling drinkers' glasses along with 15 beers from British brewers.
Of these, Hydes' will be encouraging drinkers to tip their pints Down the Hatch, Titanic brewery is promising punters A Night to Remember, Cain is offering Dr Duncan's Elixir and Redruth brewery is expecting a Cornish Rebellion.
"The pub will definitely have the best choice of real ales anywhere in Worcester," said Mr Chestnutt.
"As well as enjoying an excellent selection of UK beers, people will have the opportunity to sample our choice of foreign beers which have rarely, if ever, been in their own country."
Other Wetherspoon's pubs taking part are The Penny Black in Kidderminster, the Hare and Hounds, in Stourbridge, and Ye Old Crown Inn in Stourport-on-Severn.
