A TEAM from Wyre Forest Swimming Club competed in the Fred Godfrey Gala at Stourport on Saturday.
The gala was for swimmers aged from 11 upwards and Wyre Forest achieved four firsts from the 41 races, 11 seconds and 13 thirds.
Final results: Phoenix Youth 148, Haden Hill 145, Wyre Forest 124, Chase 103, Avon Neptunes 94.
Race winners: Rachel Harrison (11 years 2 lengths butterfly), Hannah Wear (13, 2l butterfly), Donna Wilson (open 4l freestyle), mixed all-age freestyle cannon (R Harrison, Philip Harrison, Wear, Daniel Baylie, Amy Smith, James Terry, Wilson, Brett Webster).
Second places, girls: Lauren Corbo (13, 2l backstroke), 13 years freestyle relay (Corbo, Amy Piper, Fay Trezise, Wear), Clair Wall (15, 4l freestyle), 15 years freestyle relay (Smith, Rebekah Lane, Wall, Laura Varilone); boys: Paul Ingenthron (11, 2l backstroke), P Harrison (11, 2l butterfly), 11 years freestyle relay (P Harrison, Ingenthron, Chris Wildgust, James Scahill), Jonathon Baylie (13, 2l butterfly), Daniel Baylie (13, 2l freestyle), Elliott Thorley (15, 4l backstroke), open freestyle relay (Jack Crump, Jeremy Short, David Wear, Webster).
Forest won the middle section of the Worcester Winter League at Droitwich on Sunday.
Forest won 26 of the 40 individual stroke races and mixed relays. The U-11s maintained a 100 per cent record.
Rachel Harrison, Peter Macbeth and Hannah Wear gained four first places each.

Two teams of swimmers aged between nine and 12 took part in the first found of the Nuneaton Junior League.
