SAILING: Trimpley Sailing Club members enjoyed a lively return after a month's break during the foot and mouth crisis.
The windy conditions on Sunday livened up the day with several capsizes.
Jeff Halford beat Roger Stretton in the GP 14 Mid-day Single Handed Race.
The Sunday Noon March Hare Handicap race was won by club commodore John Dixon from Sophie Tissiman, while Terry Bolton was forced to retire.
In the Spring Series for GP14 dinghies, Phil Quarry took the first race from the commodore with Halford third.
In the second race, Quarry continued his winning streak, beating Mark Tissiman.
All other boats were forced to retire by the severe weather.
Tom Jeffs took the first Laser Spring Series race from Eddie Hillman but the latter got his revenge in the second race when Jeffs was forced to retire.
The Easter Pennant for GP14s was won by Dixon from Quarry with Mark Tissiman in third place.
The Laser Easter Pennant was won by John Cookson with Hillman second and Mike Stout third.
And the Handicap result saw Cookson triumphant with Stout and Hillman close behind.
