ONE can have some sympathy for the wish of the Pershore Sports Club to profit by selling its field for housing.
But Peter Corbishley must understand the people of Pershore and their elected members may see the field as a delightful open space.
Protection of such a natural asset for the future must be weighed against the ambitions of a private club.
RICHARD HAMPTON, Dep Mayor of Pershore, Bridge St, Pershore.
