I FIND it so hard to understand how in these modern times foot and mouth disease is causing so much chaos
And as a so called nation of animal lovers, why is it being done in such a barbaric way?
Surely that when disease as bad as foot and mouth is confirmed on a farm, these animals should be dealt with kindness and respect that they deserve.
It makes good common sense that if it is necessary to destroy these animals, they should be buried as quick as possible on that farm.
I'm sure it is the kindest, safest, quickest and cheapest way of dealing with this disease.
So why is it being handled the way it is?
What will be the impact on the environment in the future from this mass burial and burning?
Just look at the problems it's causing now!
