MOORLANDS Farm yielded big catches with 123lb caught by Andy Newton on Meadow Pool's peg 11.

Newton followed his fine haul up with an 80lb 14oz catch the following day at the same venue from peg 20.

Chris Hill notched up 107lb 8oz on Monday on Bank Pool's peg four and then took the three-hour match honours with 66lb from peg nine.

Jess Nevey, from Stourport, caught an 8lb rainbow but one angler had a 9.5lb rainbow taken on an orange lure in a catch of nine fish.

There has been good fishing on all coarse waters with an excellent showing of carp and silver fish.

One bag weighing 37lb, of mixed fish, included a 9.5lb common carp. He was fishing the moat with maggots and cat meat.

There has been good sport on all pools and despite poor weather on Sunday, Dragonfly Pool produced superb weights of roach, tench and individual carp to 15lb, taken on sweetcorn and meat baits.

SHATTERFORD LAKES

Trout fishing is going from strength to strength on the Masters Pool, where there is a rod average this week of 10.

The top angler caught 17 trout to 3.5lb using a white and green buzzer, fishing the dam wall on the Masters.

Another angler used a Shatterford Special on the Wyre Dell and landed 18 to 2lb.

On the coarse scene, a catfish weighing 29lb was caught on the Erics Pool with a bacon grill.

The best catfish off the Stuarts weighed 25lb 8oz, while the carp of the week was a 25lb 3oz specimen.

There has been good fishing on the Stella pool with bag sizes of about 40lb to 50lb of mixed fish.
