THREE budding rugby stars will play for English Colleges next month after another successful season.
Worcester Sixth Form have once again provided the English Colleges side with players for the third year in succession after Stuart Sprague, Geraint Perkins and Henry Blanford got the nod.
It would have been four but for a cruel injury to James Percival. The 17-year-old, rated as one of the most outstanding young talents to come through the Worcester Academy, broke his foot and was forced to withdraw from the squad due to play Welsh Colleges' under-19 side on May 9.
The game, at Cross Keys Rugby Club, was orginally pencilled in for earlier this month but had to be postponed because of the foot-and-mouth crisis.
Outstanding players from the game will then go forward for selection to the British Colleges squad.
Worcester Sixth Form's head of PE, Paul Johnson said: "The call-ups are a reflection on all the hard work put in by the players. They done really well."
