A WOMAN was taken to hospital by air ambulance after a crash on the A451 near the Great Witley filling station.
The woman was taken to Selly Oak Hospital with serious facial injuries after her red Vauxhall Astra was in collision with a white Bedford van at 10.20am on Monday.
A police spokesman said the road in the Stourport-bound direction was closed while rescue workers cleared away the wreckage.
The driver of the van suffered whiplash, while the woman, who has not been named by police, was yesterday said to be "stable".
