A BROADWAY nursing home resident celebrated 100 years last Sunday.
Kathleen Bainbridge, of the Brompton House nursing home, toasted her century with friends and family - including her great grand-daughter who had flown in from America with her children.
Kathleen, who was born and educated in London and lived in Bretforton for much of her life, was entertained with music from the Bretforton Silver Band, who made a personal appearance.
In her working life, she was a shorthand typist and later set up her own hairdressing business.
Kathleen is not the first resident to reach the grand old age, but becomes the second to reach the milestone and has been at the home for five years.
Manager Maggie Tooth said: "She still wears make up and dresses immaculately and is quite sharp and witty for someone who's 100 years. She's also led an interesting life."
