STARS from the world of show business and sport will join some of Europe's top golfers in the 2001 Benson and Hedges International Open Celebrity Pro-Am at The De Vere Belfry on Wednesday, May 9.
Television personalities Chris Evans, Russ Abbott, Jimmy Tarbuck and Johnny Briggs, together with sporting heroes Teddy Sheringham, Ian Botham, Alan Hansen, Andy Gray, Jeremy Guscott, Stephen Hendry, Matthew Pinsent and Sir Steve Redgrave, will be among those to put their golfing talents to the test.
They will be teeing up with some of the world's leading players including Lee Westwood, Colin Montgomerie, Darren Clarke, Seve Ballesteros, Jose Maria Olazabal and Ryder Cup captains Curtis Strange and Sam Torrance.
The event precedes the 31st International Open, which runs from May 10-13. Tickets for the Pro-Am can be purchased on the day or by telephoning the ticket hotline number on 01235 867338.
