The club's senior team continued their poor run of results when they lost at home to The Worcestershire 4-2. The winning pairs were P Edmunds and B Tomkins and M Whiteford and D Bott.

The A team, captained by Pete Stanley, were also on the receiving end when they lost their first match of the season 4-2 to a strong visiting Boughton Park team.

Stanley teamed up with Phil Webb to record one of the home side's wins, Martin Grove and Mike Whiteford were the other victors.
