WYRE Forest Symphony Orchestra is planning a concert away from its spiritual home to raise money for charity this summer.

The group is leaving the confines of Kidderminster Town Hall for the gardens of Hanbury Hall near Droitwich.

The Midsummer Classics event, which has been organised by the National Gardens Scheme in conjunction with the National Trust, is to raise cash for charities including Macmillan Cancer Relief, Marie Curie Cancer Care and Help the Hospices.

Tickets for the June 13 concert, which should go ahead despite the current foot and mouth restrictions, are available in advance by calling 01562 850238.
