SPORTS EDITOR'S MAILBAG
SO we're coming to the end of Harriers' first season in the Football League.
Has it been a success or not? Of course it has.
Whether we finish 11th, 16th or anywhere in between, we've survived and will be stronger for it next season.
We have a quality manager, who is learning his trade, and yes, of course, like all of us, making a few mistakes along the way.
Some very entertaining football has been seen over the season, often restricted by negative opposition.
Yes, results haven't always gone our way and it's frustrating to dominate matches and not to come away with one or all of the three points - but that's football.
Let's finish the season on a high with a big, noisy home crowd for Saturday's final home match, before then enjoying a restful close season and counting down the days until 2001/2 begins.
Like many before me, I urge the townsfolk to get behind the club that has put the town on the map, remembering "Rome wasn't built in a day".
Jan, Gary, Jimmy, the players, backroom and office staff, Lionel and the board of directors, thank you for an entertaining first season and roll on chapter two of league football.
