TWO schoolgirls fuelled a "Wild West saloon" style brawl when they hurled glasses, pool balls and ashtrays at drinkers in an Evesham pub.
The victims were forced to flee through a fire exit to escape the scenes in the Green Dragon, which witnesses described as "hell."
The 14 and 15-year-old girls, who admitted affray, were part of a larger group in the pub's pool room when a group of South Africans walked in.
The fracas, two days after Christmas, began at around 7pm when the barman noticed that a man with the teenagers had previously been barred.
When the 14-year-old asked for some change, she was refused and told her group should leave.
"The man with them thought this was unfair," said Doreece Gunter, prosecuting at a youth court in Worcester. "He walked back to the pool table and it was then that things started."
She said: "He messed up the balls on the pool table during a game being played by the South Africans.
"The barman then heard the sound of breaking glass and saw balls, bottles and glasses being thrown, coming from the direction of the group the youths were with."
The 14-year-old ran screaming and shouting towards one of the South Africans, jumped on him and then held him in a headlock, Miss Gunter said.
Her 15-year-old friend had also stepped in.
"One witness said it was like being in hell," Miss Gunter said, "and the incident ended when the South African group escaped via the fire exit."
She said the police were called and one officer dubbed the scene a "Wild West saloon".
As they tried to arrest a woman who had been with the teenagers, the 15-year-old shouted obscenities and told them she had been in prison and liked it there, the court heard.
Minutes later she had a fit in the street and had to be helped by police.
Iain Willis, for the girls, asked for the case to be adjourned for pre-sentence reports and both were ordered to return to court on May 2.
Magistrates warned the 15-year-old she could face a custodial sentence.
