MEMBERS of the Willersey Footlights Society were putting on the ritz last week with a series of shows to raise money for charity.
Members of the society performed two-hour shows last Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the village hall, to raise funds for the Cheltenham General Hospital Focus on Cancer Appeal. The charity drive was in memory of backstage staff member Ian Lamb, who died from cancer last year.
This year's show consisted of excerpts from previous shows that the Footlights have done in the 15 years they've been performing.
Secretary Maurice Andrews said the shows were well attended and they hoped to raise more than £700.
He said: "I think they excelled themselves. It was as good as any show they have ever done."
