KIDDERMINSTER Harriers are aiming to raise a few more eyebrows tomorrow when they entertain Nationwide League Division Three play-off candidates Hartlepool United at Aggborough (3pm).

Jan Molby's men are ending the season with a flourish and will be gunning to clinch three league wins in a row for the first time this term.

Having seen off Plymouth and Cheltenham in their last two outings, Harriers are now planning to give The Pool's play-off hopes a nudge.

Molby said: "Hartlepool are in with a great chance of the play-offs, so they'll be coming here wanting to win and make it tough for us.

"They have had a fantastic season and it more or less kicked off around the time we went up there. I was very disappointed by the fact that we lost 3-1 as we were 1-0 up at half-time and absolutely cruising. Then they hit us from two corners and a rebound from a penalty, but that started their good run and it's no coincidence that they are up there again.

"They are a good team and big and strong, so it will be another difficult game for us. But we have got confidence at the moment and the lads are really enjoying it."

Check

Molby pin-points midfielders Tommy Miller and Paul Stephenson, together with striker Kevin Henderson, as the trio Harriers will have to keep in check if they intend to get something out their last home game of the season.

He said: "Miller I believe is valued at £1m and he's as good a midfielder player as there is in the Third Division. He scores loads of goals and their top scorer Henderson is another good player.

"But the one I like is Stephenson in midfield. I think he's the one that makes them tick and the one we have got to keep an eye on."

Kidderminster will be checking on the fitness of midfielder Paul Webb and striker Drewe Broughton before finalising their side.

Both are suffering from hamstring injuries with Webb being the more doubtful of the two.

"It's probably only 50-50 with him but we are far more hopeful of Broughton. It shouldn't be a problem for him," said assistant boss Gary Barnett.

Defenders Mark Shail and Ian Clarkson, meanwhile, will have to fight for their places back after missing out on first team action recently.

Former Worcester City player Shail has been out of favour while captain Clarkson lost his spot after being sidelined by a virus.

Both played in Harriers' 3-0 Central Conference victory over Burton Albion at Aggbor-ough on Wednesday.

"The back four have done particularly well over the last two games so they know they have to battle for their places," said Barnett.
