SIXTIES singer Mike Berry, known as the British Buddy Holly, will be the star of the next Rock 'n' Roll Special presented by Malvern Crepes and Drapes.
The singer, whose hits included Don't You Think It's Time and My Little Baby, toured with the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, the Four Seasons and Buddy Holly's group, The Crickets.
In the 70s, he appeared in more than 50 television commercials and the children's TV series of Worzel Gummidge.
In the 80s, he returned to the British charts with The Sunshine of Your Smile and played Mr Spooner in the last three series of Are You Being Served?
Berry will be backed by a group from Folkestone, Blast Off, for his appearance at Hanley Castle High School tomorrow (Saturday, April 28).
The evening starts at 7.30pm and will include the presentation of £1,000 to four charities.
Malvern Crepes and Drapes is to give all funds raised between April and December this year to the Acorn Children's Hospice, which will receive a first donation of £250 tomorrow.
