WORCESTER cowboys are invited to tie their horse up outside the Swan Theatre next week, to visit The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas.
The Worcester Operatic and Dramatic Society production was written by Larry L King and Peter Masterson, with music and lyrics by Carol Hall, and has a strong country and western flavour.
The evening starts well before the show does, with line dancing on stage, country and western singing at the bar and cast members mingling with the audience during the interval. Punters are invited to bring jeans and cowboy boots if they wish.
Although there are scantily-clad cast members during the production, WODS would like to point out that it is all done "in the best possible taste".
The show runs from Tuesday, May 1 to Saturday, May 12, with no performance on Sunday (May 6). Evening performances start at 7.30pm, with a matinee on Saturday, May 12 at 2.30pm. Tickets for the productions start at £8, depending on the day. For more information, call the box office on 01905 27322.
