A SCOUT group looks set to carry on camping thanks to the fund-raising initiatives of MFI.
The store, based at Crossley Retail Park in Kidderminster, is inviting families to attend a fun day with the hope of raising £1,000 towards camping equipment needed by the Habberley Scout troop.
The event will include a disco with the latest party tunes and a raffle with a chance to win a TV, CD system and personal stereo.
Entertainment will come from a face painter, who will transform children into their favourite cartoon characters and clowns with magic shows.
The event is all part of the ethos of the MFI group, which set out to support local charities and projects within the each store's local area.
Simon Essex, MFI general manager, explained that each time a new store was opened, a donation was made to charity.
And he said the company provided each store manager with an allowance to put towards worthy projects.
"MFI recognises the support from the local community and is committed to demonstrating its appreciation by supporting local youth movements," Mr Essex said.
"One way of doing this, is by way of our hugely successful fun days."
The event starts at 9am on Monday, May 7.
6 Scouts and store staff are all set to have some fun and raise money for camping equipment.
