THANK you to Paul H Griffiths (You Say, Friday, April 6) for telling us why the West Midlands Constitutional Conference has been set up.
However, he fails to tell us who exactly has set it up and who is paying for it.
At the end of the day it is more Government by stealth and a ploy to encourage the division of our country into self-governing regions as wanted by Brussels, New Labour and the Lib Dems - but not by a majority of the electorate.
I would ask Paul Griffiths what is meant by "public policy management"? And also whether the deliberations of the WMCC will be made public and, if so, to what extent?
Could Paul Griffiths should also not try to turn opposition to regionalisation round to his advantage by saying it is against democratic discussion - we have all seen his previous letters.
E F SHOWELL,
Worcester.
