WORCESTER Wolves Basketball Club are set to celebrate promotion in their first year in the National League.
Despite losing in the semi-finals of the Division Three play-offs, having finished runners-up in the league, they still had a chance of going up providing league champions Bristol beat Barking in the final on Saturday.
Bristol duly won by 20 points, so the Wolves can look forward to playing in Division Two next season, subject to ratification from the English Basketball Association.
Player-coach Rick Solvason said: "It's quite an achievement in our first year."
