ADRIAN Skeggs has promised changes after seeing his side end the season on a low note with a 26-26 draw at Birmingham & Solihull.
Worcester Rugby Club's director of coaching was once again frustrated with his misfiring team who, he admitted, wanted the National One points less than relegation-threatened Birmingham.
A second-half revival, which brought Worcester back from 19-14 down to 26-19 ahead, was not enough to kill off the home side as they rallied to draw.
The result ensured National One status for the Sharman's Cross Road club but for Skeggs, the end-of-season attitude was just not good enough.
He said: "We need players who will go out on the pitch and play to a game-plan. That has been the problem all season. We just haven't done the simple things consistently.
Errors
"If we cannot win our line-outs and play without basic handling errors then we will never get anywhere.
"The mistakes they've made this season have cost us promotion because they consistently take poor options.
"We probably need to bring a bit more experience to the club because we will be up against Rotherham next season which will be very tough."
On the game, Skeggs was far from impressed with the performance especially as Worcester conceded four tries -- for the first time in the league this season.
"It was a poor way to finish the game for us. They were up for it but we expected that.
"They wanted it a lot more than us on the day but the disappointing thing is that we are the professionals and they are the amateurs. We should be able to cope with teams that are up for games but again our decision-makers let us down on the pitch."
He added: "We are talking about international players not guys who have just been thrown in.
"Birmingham played with a mental toughness of a professional side and we didn't. It was a very frustrating performance but that's been the story of the season."
