HEREFORD United could hand the Nationwide Conference title to Rushden and Diamonds if they can win at Yeovil Town tonight (7.45).

Second-placed Yeovil, managed by former Bulls boss Colin Addison, need to win to keep their title hopes alive with only one game left after tonight's Huish Park clash.

But defeat would leave them facing a mathematical impossibility to overtake leaders Rushden, and United won't be in the mood to do them any favours as they look to try and squeeze into the top eight and earn a place in next season's LDV Vans Trophy.

Director of Football Graham Turner said: "It is a game to look forward to rather than a typical end-of-season fixture. There should be a decent crowd and it will be a great challenge to the players."

Skipper Ian Wright is doubtful after a bout of appendicitis ruled him out of Saturday's 2-2 draw with Morecambe, but defender Matt Clarke is available again after suspension. Midfielder Michael McIndoe will feature for Yeovil, having left the Bulls earlier this season.
