STUDLEY MP John Maples dropped in on Friday to see for himself the hard work put in by volunteers to create the village's Millennium Green.
Work is still under way on the project but chairman of the green's trustees, Gill Harris, is pleased with how it is taking shape.
Mrs Harris said: "It's really coming to fruition now and I'm pleased with what's happened.
"We will be putting six benches in soon, made by a local craftsman and will also be putting in some more plants.
"John Maples wanted to take a look because it's one of only two millennium greens in Warwickshire."
Mrs Harris added: "The green is very well used and people have told me how much they enjoy it. When all the flowers come out it will be very nice indeed."
The green has been in the offing for nearly two years and has cost an estimated £22,000, half of which came from the Countryside Commissions Millennium Green fund.
The rest of the cost was met from grants from the parish council, Stratford Council and Bass breweries.
Much of the planting was done by Studley schoolchildren.
