TWO Redditch cyclists are appealing for their sponsorship money after completing a gruelling 885-mile journey across France.
Headteacher Tom Revell and assistant headteacher Tim Jones, from Birchensale Middle School, actually finished their cycling trip last Monday after an amazing seven days.
Now the daring duo needs the sponsorship money so they can complete their promise of raising £2,000 for Air Ambulance and the school's minibus appeal.
Mr Jones said: "It was an absolutely fantastic time, it far exceeded what we thought it would be.
"We were actually riding 105 miles a day compared to what we thought we would do - about 88 miles - because we got such a routine going.
"Along the way, we had help from Sally-Ann Jones, from Dingleside Middle School, and John Thornhill, from Lodge Farm Middle School, who booked hotels for us in advance and kept us informed of the roads ahead through their mobile phones."
