WORCESTERSHIRE called up Nick Boulton for his debut in today's Benson and Hedges Cup clash against Glamorgan at Cardiff.
The 22-year-old former Somerset batsman came in for Paul Pollard who suffered a hamstring injury during his Gold Award batting performance in Monday's 95-run win over Northamptonshire at Kidderminster's Chester Road ground.
Glamorgan won the toss and decided to bat first in breezy and cloudy conditions.
Steve James and James Mayer launched their innings against the pace attack of Andy Bichel and Alamgir Sheriyar.
Bichel soon struck to trap Maher leg before for 14 making way for Michel Powell to join James as Glamorgan began their bid to bounce back from yesterday's six wicket defeat against Somerset at Cardiff. After 17 overs they were 63-1.
