WESTFIELDS and Star Bridg-north battled out a 0-0 draw at Rotherwas last night in the Banks's Brewery League Premier Division when both goalkeepers, and in particular Ian Pugh of Westfields, gave five-star displays.
Pugh was in the thick of it as Star worked hard and he saved well from Paul Evason while his visiting counterpart Ken Sheldon also did well to hold onto stinging shots from Mark Hibbard and Derek Craddock.
After the break Star had several good opportunities but Pugh in the Westfields goal excelled himself on three different occasions as Westfields registered their 13 league draw of the season and the 12th time they have failed to score in a game this campaign.
