TEAM Legs Eleven starlet Tristan Palmer is chasing a second consecutive top 15 finish at Snetterton on Monday after making a stir on his last outing.
The Redditch-based superbikes team have been forced to raise the ride height for the prodigiously talented 18-year-old because he was cornering so fast his handlebar grips were dragging on the track as he came in ninth at Silverstone.
"Tristan's handlebar grips were eight inches off the ground which shows the speed he was cornering at," said team owner Dave Worthington.
"We had to pack his £2,000 titanium exhaust because he was making a hole in it by leaning too much and rubbing the casings away.
"But the adjustments have been made and we are ready.
"I've told Tristan if he gets another top 15 finish I'll start to believe his potential.
"Our only problem will be if there is any damage to the bike at the weekend because we are at Oulton Park the following weekend which doesn't give us much time for repairs."
Team Legs Eleven arrive at Snetterton on Friday with untimed qualifying on Saturday, timed qualifying on Sunday and the race on Bank Holiday Monday.
