MORE than £150,000 has been spent on new technology for teachers and pupils at Trinity High School, opening in September.
All teachers will be provided with their own personal laptop, which they will be testing out in June.
With the 70 new laptops, teachers will be able to register students in every class and use them to prepare and deliver lessons.
Students will benefit from four new interactive smart boards and projectors enabling teachers to include all types as texts, pictures and video clips for lessons.
The school also hopes to provide all Year 12 students on the A-level information communication technology course with laptops.
Headteacher Marion Barton said: "We are determined the school will be at the forefront of using the new technologies to assist learning."
