WITH regard to Bromsgrove's litter problem, it should be obvious to a blind person that the litter bins provided are inadequate in size and badly sited.
Day after day I pass overflowing bins. The bins in most situations would need emptying twice daily. I would also criticise the design which is more suitable for posting letters.
Councils need to look carefully at the siting of bins. For example, in Watt Close a table and benches encourage people with takeaway food packages. The area is littered every day and the nearest bin is 50 yards away at Hanover Place.
