THE ball which took place in the Public Hall in Redditch on Tuesday in aid of the fund providing the much needed additional nurse at the Smallwood Hospital will long be remembered by those who were present as one of the pleasantest functions of its kind that has ever been held in the town.
Everything had been done to make the ball as popular as possible and there was an exceedingly good attendance from the beginning to the end.
Interests were well maintained and everyone appeared to thoroughly enjoy themselves.
The ball had undergone a transformation at the hands of Treadgold after the excellent manner in which the decorations had been carried out.
