REAL ale lovers are being invited to join in the spirit of things and try a pint of mild this month.
CAMRA, the Campaign for Real Ale, will be celebrating National Mild Day on Saturday to promote what they say is one of Britain's finest beer styles.
As a result, CAMRA branches across the country, including Worcestershire, have organised a number of events to promote the beer throughout May.
Some events already organised include mild football and curry days out, mild pub crawls, mild festivals, tasting sessions and brewery trips.
"This is something that CAMRA does every May," said Peter Bottomley, Worcestershire spokesman for CAMRA.
"May is Mild Month and we generally try to encourage people to try it out as a way of promoting the beer."
Mild has experienced a revival over the last couple of years and Britain now has more than 100 mild brewers.
"In Worcester, The Green Man pub in The Tything serves nothing but mild, while The Dragon, also in The Tything, has one variety of mild on tap," added Mr Bottomley.
On Saturday, May 12, the Worcestershire branch of CAMRA will join forces with the Redditch and Bromsgrove divisions for a day out at The Fox at Monkwood Green, near Hallow.
