TV presenter and Celebrity Big Brother contestant Anthea Turner will compere a gala evening next week to support the fund-raising of an Evesham school.
Actor Darren Day has also agreed to take part in the event for Prince Henry's High School, which aims to raise money for new arts facilities.
Although most of the money has now been raised, a further £30,000 is needed to complete the ambitious project.
The school has managed to use its close links with the MG Rover Group to persuade the stars to come along for what headmaster Bernard Roberts said would be an exciting event.
The Victoria Avenue school wants to extend its Arts Centre facilities and plans to build a new block between the existing south wall of the centre and the north wall of the school gym.
The plans include a new purpose-built drama workshop, which will also serve as a studio theatre suitable for seating audiences of up to 80. The facility will be used by the school and will also be available for community use in the evening.
On the same level as the new theatre will be a new classroom. There will also be new music facilities on an upper level linking existing school rooms. At the ground level there will be a workshop for stage and set design.
The school has joined forces with the Evesham Arts Association, which is supporting the development financially. The project is expected to cost about £350,000.
"We're thrilled to have Anthea Turner and Darren Day taking part in the fund-raising evening," said a school spokeswoman.
"Anthea will compere the evening and Darren Day will be performing. We also have students past and present taking part. There will be ballet, modern dance, violinists and other performers."
The event at Evesham Arts Centre will take place next Friday, May 11, at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £10, which will include a programme and a glass of wine, and are available from the school on 01386 765588.
