SWIMMING: YOUNGSTERS from Wyre Forest won the Mercian Summer League first round at Wombourne on Saturday.
The swimmers, aged from 10 upwards, achieved 17 first places out of 50 races, 12 seconds and 10 thirds, recording many personal best times.

Meanwhile, a junior team from 9 to 13 were in action in the second round of the Ross Diddy League at Worcester where speeding tickets were given for swimming faster than a designated time.
Tim Levitt was the only Wyre Forest member to receive a ticket in the 25m freestyle. He swam all the 10-year-old races.
Wyre Forest achieved three first places and 17 seconds.
