MY immediate thought on reading of the plan to put 44 homes on the MHDC treasurer's site was, where are they going to put all the cars? And if the existing car park is to be included, where is everyone else going to park? The end of Victoria Road is already full of parked cars during the day time and now overnight as well, which does create access problems for residents.
I am ever surprised that the planning department takes no account of car parking arrangements. Perhaps it is a matter for the highways department, who will then respond after the event with double yellow lines.
Clearly the provision of adequate space for cars must be of prime consideration during the public consultation period and in any proposed plan.
