WITH an election due, the Liberal Democrats are scrabbling around for people who will believe their nonsense. Having written off people over 50, now young voters are their targets.
They launched their patronising "youth manifesto". No mention is made of their coalition with Labour in Scotland at the expense of tuition fees. No young person is asked about their soft approach to crime. No mention of their plans to increase the taxation that young people will have to pay. Liberal Democrats will say anything to get a vote, and if you don't like what they say, they make up another story. The facts don't matter, they don't deliver their promises. Look at the claims they made about the Council Tax, they soon changed their tune to increase it by almost 10 per cent.
Well, it is difficult being madly pro-European and trying to do whatever Tony Blair says. If you read their youth manifesto, don't worry if you don't agree - a Liberal Democrat promise can soon be changed. A Liberal Democrat vote is a wasted vote whatever age you are.
