STRIKER John Durnin has been released by Kidderminster Harriers.
The 35-year-old former Oxford and Portsmouth player scored nine goals in 31 appearances for Harriers.
Manager Jan Molby said: "John was always going to be a short term option for the club and he has done very well for us since he joined. We are looking to bring in younger players though John's age wasn't the major factor in my decision.
"If a 33-year old goalscorer becomes available that can do a job for us I wouldn't hesitate in going in for him. Whatever happens John Durnin will finish the season as our top goalscorer this season and we wish him well for the future."
Meanwhile, Molby has admitted he is interested in signing Inverness Caledonian Thistle midfielder Paul Sheerin. He has bagged 12 goals in the Scottish First Division this term and is available on a free transfer.
Molby would only say: "He is on our list of potential targets."
