CLIFF Richard has endorsed a forthcoming production featuring dance, drama and song by a host of Kidderminster groups. Hopes and Dreams cast members Sarah Richards, Lydia Worsey, Linzi Walford and Dawn Tandy get ready for the show.

Carpet Trades Operatic Society, Kidderminster Operatic and Dramatic Society - with youth section - and the New Dimensional Experience Choir will be joining local choral and church groups for the production at Kidderminster Town Hall.

Hopes and Dreams, featuring about 100 dancers, actors and singers, will be presented on Friday, May 11 and the following day at 7.30pm.

And singing legend Cliff Richard has sent a letter to be included in the programme wishing the groups well with the production.

New Dimensional Experience Choir spokeswoman Ann Carroll said: "Many will remember Cliff Richard having a number one during the millennium with the theme song from Hopes and Dreams."

She said the presentation needed a copy of the 1975 Blue Peter Annual - which organisers had so far failed to track down - and appealed for anyone who had a copy they would be prepared to loan as a stage prop to come forwards.

Tickets for the event are priced £5 and £6 and are available from Hunters, Oxford Street, Kidderminster, Bewdley Books, Load Street, and Abigails, High Street, Stourport.

Anyone who can help with the annual should call Mrs Carroll on 01562 630816.
